The Reidsville Police Department received a Crime Stoppers tip regarding possible sexual activity of an adult with male students involved in athletics at Reidsville High School Monday, Aug. 25.

The accused is a possible volunteer with the Touchdown Booster Club at Reidsville High and other various athletic activities, Stacy Setliff. An investigation immediately began by Detectives Stan Allison, Caroline Curry, SRO Jamie Allen, and Lt. Nancy Bennett to verify the information.

The investigation has identified two male victims, currently Reidsville athletic students. The incidents occurred between February and August.

Setliff was arrested Wednesday, Sept 3, before she was transported to the Wentworth Magistrate’s Office to determine conditions of release and bond.

Setliff is being charged with two misdemeanor counts of disseminating harmful materials to minors and two counts of felony sexual activity with a student by school personnel other than a teacher, school administrator, student teacher, coach, or school safety officer.

Rockingham County Schools confirms that the alleged incident originated as an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers and did not take place on Reidsville High’s campus.

The Reidsville Police Department, Reidsville High administration and school personnel have worked closely throughout the ongoing investigation.
