REIDSVILLE — A celebration was held to recognize the 50th anniversary of the Reidsville Downtown Senior Citizens Club on Oct. 19

The gala, themed “Living Life Like it’s Golden,” was held at Covington Wesleyan Memorial Church on Vance Street Extension.

A keynote address was given by Reidsville native Que Tucker, who serves as the commissioner of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

The message focused on EDGE – Exercise, Dare, Goals and Entertainment.

The celebration concluded with a skit called “You Can Shine Bright in Your Golden Years”.

Written and directed by Judy Gordon, the performance focused on how important it is for seniors to continue to move and remain active during their golden years.
