WENTWORTH — The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is teaming with the Salvation Army to collect toys for the county’s families in need.

Sheriff Sam Page announced the effort on Monday and asks that citizens make donations of new, in-box, unwrapped toys to the effort to insure all of the county’s children have gifts beneath their trees on Christmas morning.

Donations may be dropped off through Dec. 15 at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office in the Law Enforcement Center at 170 N.C. 65 Reidsville, 24 hours a day.

Toys may also be left during regular business hours with the Salvation Army of Rockingham County’s locations at 704 Barnes Street in Reidsville or at 314 Morgan Road in Eden.

Sheriff’s deputies will work to assist with toy pick ups for individuals who would like to donate, but are unable to reach specified drop-off points. Call: 336-634-3232 for deputy assistance.
