GREENSBORO Dorothy H. Brame passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31 after a long illness. Please join us in the celebration of her life at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be held beginning 3 p.m. in the sanctuary. Mrs. Brame was born on May 22, 1938, in Greensboro. A graduate of Rankin High School and UNC-Greensboro (class of 1981), she was most proud of being on the starting team of her beloved "Lady Rockets," Rankin High School's 1956 county championship team. Dorothy also enjoyed a long career as a paralegal, a band Mom, a writer, a poet, a music enthusiast, a great cook and as a "Nammy" to her precious grandchildren. Mrs. Brame is survived by her brother, David Hill, husband Eddie Franklin Brame, her best friend Charles Nelson, her sons Norman F. Brame of Charlotte, Russell E. Brame and his wife Kim Brame of Oak Ridge, Dr. Michael E. Brame and his wife Julie Brame of Gastonia, as well as her grandchildren, Hunter, Jenna and Savana.
