The Theatre Guild of Rockingham County’s last performance of “Arsenic and Old Lace” will be at 2:30 this afternoon, March 17, at Rockingham Community College.

The guild will also celebrate its 30 years of operation with “Decades of Broadway” on Saturday, March 23, at the community college.

The event will begin with a silent auction at 6:30 p.m. Performances will follow at 7 p.m., with a dance at the Agricultural Center from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

The cost is $10 for performances and $5 for the dance.

Community clean-up day in Eden is March 30

The next “Team up to Clean Up” community sweep day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at Morehead High School, 134 Pierce St. in Eden.

Participants will improve landscaping areas, pick up litter, clean windows, paint and beautify the school.

Theatre Guild to hold five-day summer camp

The Theatre Guild of Rockingham County will offer a summer camp for ages 7 to 14 from 9 a.m. to noon June 24-28 at Rockingham County High School.

Campers will perform at 11 a.m. June 28.

The cost is $100; registration is due by May 1.

Pickers to gather for a

jam session at library

Jammin’ at the M&M will be held April 1 at the Madison-Mayodan Public Library, 611 Burton St. in Madison.

The event is open to musicians who play an acoustic instrument, such as the banjo, guitar, mandolin, dobro or fiddle, and those who enjoy listening.

Tuning will begin at 5 p.m. with music at 5:30 p.m.

Deeds office will close its Wentworth post box

Effective April 15, the Rockingham County Register of Deeds Office’s post office box at the Wentworth Post Office (P.O. Box 56) will no longer be used.
