GREENSBORO — The Greensboro Fire Department said there were no injuries in a school bus fire Wednesday morning and said the blaze did not look suspicious.

Firefighters received the call about the fire around 7:59 a.m. on Naco Road in front of Harrison Middle School, according to Assistant Fire Chief Dwayne Church. When they arrived, eight students and the driver were standing outside of the smoking bus, he said.

The students that were on the bus attend the Greensboro Islamic Academy, WGHP-Channel 8 is reporting.

Church said the scene was cleared by 8:55 a.m., and the cause of the fire is unknown.
