GREENSBORO — New subscriptions for the upcoming season of the Guilford College Bryan Series will go on sale Monday.

The 2019-20 season will bring five speakers to Greensboro: former first lady Laura Bush (Sept. 10), U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer (Oct. 2), Presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin (Nov. 12), actress Sally Field (March 24) and author Colson Whitehead (April 23).

The three Bryan Series events scheduled for 2019 will be held in the Greensboro Coliseum, the event's home since 2014. The college expects to move the two lectures scheduled for 2020 into the new Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Greensboro. That new facility is scheduled to open in March.

Season tickets that give reserved-seat admission to all five Bryan Series events in 2019-20 are $295, excluding fees. Season passes are available at bryanseries.guilford.edu

The college says that 1,800 of last season's subscribers have renewed their passes for 2019-20. Tickets for individual events, if available, will go on sale later this year.
