HIGH POINT — Police responding to a crash Saturday morning found a Browns Summit man fatally shot in a vehicle.

Officers responded about 3:20 a.m. to the 2200 block of South Main Street after receiving multiple reports of a traffic crash involving a gray Nissan sedan that struck a utility pole, police said in a news release.

Officers found 25-year-old Quenton M. Harrington in the driver’s seat suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said. They also found the vehicle had been struck by gunfire.

Harrington was pronounced dead, from the shooting injuries, at the site of the crash.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates the crash was a direct result of Harrington’s shooting injuries.
