About 80 leftist guerrillas attacked an army and a police outpost Thursday a few miles from Buenaventura, Colombia's main port on the Pacific Ocean, killing three marines and an 8-year-old boy, the army said.

The army bulletin said the rebels kidnapped a marine and three police, that one rebel was killed in the fighting, and two were captured.The raiders belonged to the pro-Cuban National Liberation Army and the Armed Revolutionary Forces of Colombia, the only two guerrilla outfits still fighting the government.
