WHAT TO EXPECT: Houston will try to make it an up-tempo affair, while Iowa State will look to control tempo. And Houston must contain Alexander, one of the nation's top centers. Very active around the basket, Alexander is capable of a big scoring night. He shoots 63 percent from the field, 83 from the foul line. Kunz is a 65 percent shooter. Generally Iowa State shoots well, hitting 51.8 percent overall. Teheran and Fernandes are a formidable duo, but the Cougars' strength is on the perimeter where they already have taken 50 three-pointers, making 20. Iowa State has taken 26 three-pointers, making only six, 23 percent. They are allowing the opposition to make 41 percent from behind the arc.
