Hospice of Randolph will hold its fifth annual Autumn Auction and Barbecue Bash Saturday at Guy B. Teachey School in Asheboro.
A sidewalk sale in front of the school will begin at 8 a.m. and will feature items such as Hospice cookbooks and T-shirts.Gospel singing will kick off at 10 a.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m. The singing will be broadcast live on WZOO (710 AM).
The Black & Decker Qualiteers will begin serving barbecue at 11 a.m. A plate of barbecue, slaw, pintos, hush puppies and a beverage will cost $5. Take-outs will also be available.
The grand finale, the Autumn Auction, will begin at 5 p.m. This year's sale features a print by Dempsey Essick, signed pottery from local potters, antiques, handmade items, crafts, furniture, entertainment packages and more.
Hospice of Randolph is a non-profit organization that offers professional medical assistance to patients with terminal illnesses. Counseling and grief assistance is also available to both patients and families through the Hospice Center.
