Funeral for Walter Alexander, 67, of 857 Burbank St., who died Thursday, will be 2 p.m. Monday at South English Street Church of Christ, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.A native of Camden, S.C., he was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Nannie Alexander; sons, Carl Jeffrey Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Fennell Terry Alexander, Walter Alexander Jr., both of Greensboro; daughters, Mrs. Iris Alexander Vance, Ms. Linda K. Alexander, Mrs. Joyce Louise Waugh, Mrs. Shirley Ann Crosby, Ms. Deborah Delores Alexander, all of Greensboro; 14 grandchildren.

Mrs. Mavis Garner Davis, 44, of 1407 Hamlet Place died Friday at her home.

Mrs. Ruth Mae Harris Foster, 84, of 4725 Mitchell Ave. died Friday at Wesley Long Community Hospital.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
She was former owner of West End Beauty Shop, where she worked as a self-employed beautician. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 14, Greensboro Cosmetology Club and past member of Y-Matrons.
Surviving are sons, Claude D. Thacker of the home, John H. Foster of Salisbury; sister, Mabel Harris Hunter of Greensboro; brother, Clyde V.B. Harris of Greensboro; four grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today, other times at the residence.

HIGH POINT - Funeral for Mrs. Mabel Cockman Haney, 81, of 306 N. Rotary Drive, who died Friday, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park.
A native of Siler City, she was a retired from High Point Regional Hospital, where she worked as a nursing aide. She was a member of Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Society and the High Point Chapter No. 106 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are husband, R.F. ``Jack' Haney; daughter, Mrs. Shirley Rouse of Jamestown; son, Charles E. Haney of Richmond; sisters, Mrs. Margie Parham of High Point, Ms. Hazel Cockman of Burlington, Mrs. Althea Davis of Camilla, Ga.; three grandchildren.

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Odie Webster Lewis, 92, of the Evergreens died Friday.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Floral Garden Park.
A native of Marlboro County, S.C., she had lived in High Point since 1932. She worked in the alterations department at N.H. Silver, Pegram-Burton, and Rosaine Dress Shop. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Angell Lee Edwards of High Point; half sister, Mrs. Terry C. Stanford of High Point; three grandchildren.
The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point, 7-9 p.m. Monday.
HIGH POINT - Funeral for Jay Carl Patterson, 55, of Wallburg, who died Thursday, will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home, Kernersville.

Stephen B. Ritter, 38, of 3908 Pondfield Court died Wednesday in Switzerland.
Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. today at Westover Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member.
A native of Greensboro, he was an account supervisor with the Denim Division of Cone Mills Corp. He graduated with a degree in business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a degree in textiles from N.C. State University. He was a member of the Cardinal Golf and Country Club, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and was a Crown Ministries Group Leader. He was one of three Cone executives who died in the crash of an Alitalia DC-9 jetliner in Switzerland.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Margaret Prevette Ritter; parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Ritter of Graham; sisters, Mrs. Dale Dodson of Yadkinville, Mrs. Lynn Thomas of Efland.

A native of Pittsylvania County, Va., she was retired from Dan River Inc. and a member of Schoolfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Barbara W. Morgan of Summerfield; four grandchildren.
