Stone Temple Pilots will headline this year's Gears and Guitars Music Festival May 23-26 in Bailey Park in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter.
The San Diego-based rock band rose to fame during the 1990s with songs such as “Plush,” “Interstate Love Song” and “Vasoline.” Later work explored other musical genres including classic rock, bossa nova and psychedelic rock. The band released its seventh studio album last year, the self-titled “Stone Temple Pilots,” with lead singer Jeff Gutt.
Stone Temple Pilots will perform on Sunday, the last night of the four-day festival, which is held in conjunction with the Winston-Salem Cycling Classic.
More bands will be added to the schedule and announced in coming weeks. All concerts are general admission. Children under 10 are admitted free.
