KERNERSVILLE — Greensboro’s Big Burger Spot, home of the Steve Harvey Burger, is getting even bigger.

Owner Guy Bradley said he is opening a third location of the popular burger and fry chain in Kernersville.

“Kernersville is just a really growing market and I really like where I fit in over there,” Bradley said.

Bradley currently operates Big Burger Spots in Greensboro.

The flagship restaurant opened at 3750-A Battleground Ave. in 2012. Bradley opened a second restaurant at 510-A Nicholas Road in 2014

Bradley said he considered Burlington for his third location but decided Kernersville was a better fit.

“I have customers that drive over from Winston and Kernersville, so this will give them a much easier location to get to,” he said.

That location is in a new strip center on South Main Street near the new Lowes Foods store.

The 2,500-square-foot restaurant will have a patio. It will also be the first location to offer beer and wine.

Bradley said the new location will have the same menu of big burgers and sandwiches such as Black and Blue, South of the Border and Lonestar.

The restaurant is known for its Steve Harvey Burger, named after the comedian and talk show host who visited the restaurant in 2015.

Big Burger Spot smokes its own brisket and barbecue pork which is piled onto sandwiches like the Carolina Pork BBQ and Cuban Sandwich.

The restaurant offers 14 varieties of fries such as White Truffle and Bacon Ranch.
