Farmers market on Country Club

A new farmers market will be held the last Friday of every month in the parking lot of First Christian Church, 2320 Country Club Road.

The first Five Points Farmers Market will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. May 31. Its location is about ¼ mile from the Five Points intersection of Country Club and Stratford roads with Miller and First streets.

That market is scheduled to have Apple and Green Farm produce, Brasstown Chocolate, Homeplace Farm eggs, Buck Creek Farms chicken and more. Rebecca Zollicoffer, who recently closed Let It Grow Produce, will be there with a selection of local meat, cheese and other items. Tumbleweed Coffee Truck will offer espresso, smoothies and ice cream.

The market is expected to continue monthly through October.

Alanna Harris is organizing the market on behalf of First Christian Church. Any proceeds will help support the church’s mobile food pantry and other efforts.

Farmers or others who are interested in the market, can contact Harris at 336-830-7505 or
