ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS RE-BID SANITARY SEWER and WATERLINE REHABILITATION 2019 CONTRACT NO. 2019-005 CITY OF GREENSBORO, NC Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Greensboro, NC, in the Engineering Conference Room located on the 3rd floor of the City of Greensboro's Melvin Municipal Office Building, until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, for the above listed contract as shown in the plans and described in the Special Conditions. The Melvin Municipal Office building is located at 300 West Washington Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. The Contract majorly consists of the following: sanitary sewer rehabilitation through a variety of rehab methods including pipe burst, sliplining, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP); sewer manhole rehab; point repairs; open cut dig and re-lay; trenchless lateral renewal; open-cut lateral replacements; water main pipe burst; water main dig and re-lay; and water service renewal and open-cuts. Ancillary tasks include, but are not limited to, water valve replacement and fire hydrant replacement, sidewalk and pavement replacement, and other site renewal tasks. Sealed proposals and MWBE Good Faith Efforts must be submitted on the blank forms provided and as specified in the bound copies of the contract documents. The Proposal and MWBE Good Faith Efforts shall be enclosed in two different sealed envelopes addressed to Mr. Danny Hawk, Engineering Division, 300 West Washington Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401. The outside of each envelope shall be plainly marked with the Project Name; Contract Number; the name, address and license number of the Bidder; and with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" for the Proposal and the other envelope with the MWBE participation noted as "MWBE GOOD FAITH EFFORTS". No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the City.
