GREENSBORO — April is I ™ Arts month in the city, and ArtsGreensboro has partnered with local businesses and organizations to raise awareness and money to support the local arts scene.

Throughout April, a variety of events will raise funds for the ArtsFund, which supports more than 50 arts organizations, projects, teachers and artists annually. ArtsGreensboro aims to raise $850,000 by June 30 for the fund.

Among them:

  • Tour des Art, a public art scavenger hunt will be held at noon Saturday.

Europa Bar & Cafe in the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St., will open its doors at 11 a.m. to host a special Arts Brunch, which will kick off the scavenger hunt.

The hunt, which will run until 4 p.m., will take participants to innovative and historic public art around the city. There will be prizes along the way.

The event will close with a social at Gibb’s Hundred Brewing Co., 504 State St., and will include a barbecue feast for all scavenger hunt participants. Food will be made possible by Triad Local First and Sir Charles & Queen Carmen Gourmet Sauces.

I ™ Arts month runs in partnership with the city, Greensboro Downtown Residents’ Association and local businesses who are participating in the monthlong campaign by putting a blue “Feed Your Arts Scene” donation jar at cash registers and by donating a portion of their earnings on a specific day to the ArtsFund.
