North Carolina A&T's Aggies won't have to wait long to find out how good they are going to be this season. Don Corbett's Aggies, expected to resume their position as a contender in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, host UNC Charlotte tonight at 7:30 in the Corbett Center.
UNCC, coming off a 16-14 season under Jeff Mullins, is expected to contend in the Sun Belt Conference and will challenge the Aggies with size, quickness and the splendid shooting of 6-2 All-America candidate Henry Williams, who averaged 21 points a game last year.The Aggies return four starters, including 6-foot Glenn Taggart, 6-6 Jimmy Humphries, 6-8 Colin Spady and 6-5 Dana Elliott. Winston Williams, a 5-8 point guard, moves into the starting lineup, with Taggart, who led the team in scoring last season with a 14.6 average, moving to shooting guard.
While the Aggies are getting a stiff test, Wake Forest (2-0) will be doing likewise by paying a visit to No. 7-ranked Alabama at 8:30.
