Jay Pierce, the executive chef of Lucky 32 in Greensboro, is an advocate for locally sourced ingredients and is passionate about Southern food culture. Pierce will join other local chefs in the upcoming Atlantic World Foodways Conference in Greensboro Jan. 30-Feb. 2 at which he will participate in a panel discussion and also will prepare one of the tasting dinners for the conference. Pierce talks about this first-time event that explores the nexus of food and cultures of the Atlantic Ocean.
